Oooh, this sounds yummy!!!  Can you post a pic of what a chocolate wrapped cake should look like??? I would like to try one out too!

Okay I search this website for chocolate wrap cakes... These are few examples that I found.  There is also one in the Wilton Yearbook 2010, it is a teired cake, in pink and chocolate with a S on the top.  These are not my cakes, these are other members on the site.  I have never done one but would like to try.

NICE.... I know exactly which cake you are talking about in the Wilton's book... I definitely want to try this one!!

Eeeeekkkkk!!!!   I should jump in on this one.  I have purchased all the stuff to do the chocolate wraps...I even have a bunch of the chocolate transfer sheets... and have not ever done it.  It would give me a reason to do it for sure!   Will see if I can find the time.  My gardens are screaming my name to get my buns out there and do some weeding!   I know after I spend a couple days in the garden the knees will not be up to baking for a few days though!

Thanks for the challenge!  I do want to do this!

I have always wanted to try the chocolate but was petrified, thanks to project # 7 I ventured into it.  A prayer was said with the peeling of every wrap, thankfully my prayers were answered, I had no breakages and relatively damage free.  I tried some fancy stuff with white candy melt but that thickened very fast so I had to give up on that idea.  But I am pleased with the outcome.

You go Anne.... Plated nicely and all... Love it.... I haven't got to play with this just yet... I made a few cakes for people the last couple of weekends and this weekend is my birthday (the big 40) and don't plan to make cake... I hope to do it next weekend.... I want to try it.  What kind of chocolate did you use.  I am not sure what to use.  I do have some Baker's chocolate semi sweet bars but didnt' know if I should try something else.  I just hope I didn't wait to long, it sure is very hot down her in New Orleans, so I hope I can still make it next weekend.

Just might have the next picture!!!!  Love them.

Thanks Gretchen, Happy Birthday, have a wonderful day.  I used chocolate chips and put them into the fridge soon after I wrapped them.  Have fun making them, looking forward to seeing all the pictures.

Hi Friends,

I must admit that I have not been active lately.  So I apologize.  This is not going to sound like I'm telling the truth but I am!  I just uploaded my Father's Day Treats onto my page to just have on CWB.  Then I decided to see what's up with our Cake We Bake Group!

Project 7 is chocolate cake wraps.

Here is where it gets perhaps too unbelievable but I'm NOT TELLING AN UNTRUTH (lie).  I actually do have a chocolate wrap project except mine is candy clay that I made from chocolate!  Oh go check out my gallery here and you will see what I'm talking about.  I also requested everyone to go to my blog for all of the details.  Here's the shortcut to my blog if you don't want to go to CWB Gallery.

Then go to the "Cake Fun" TAB to see just what I did and what I learned from doing this project.

Mine is a twist to the Project 7 main theme Dark Chocolate.

I hope you still like it though.

Sher

Thanks for sharing... I haven't been active either.... Life has been crazy for me the last few months and I haven't done a project.  I have only been doing cakes when I need to do them.  I have a cake this weekend, that I am to a point to have to decorate it and just can't seem to find the gumption to get it done.   I have to Sunday Morning so I have time.

I know what you girls mean about being busy.  I still have not gotten to this challenge.  I have not checked in on this group for awhile.  Glad to see I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten to it!  The next couple weeks are crazy busy... wedding is 2 weeks away so have a ton to do before then.  And then the following Wednesday after the wedding is my second joint replacement in my knee so will be totally out of baking again for awhile.  Will check in to see what you all are doing though!

thanks for sharing the wrap 's
