Hi Im alison a stay at home mum with 3 kids (thomas is nearly 5, beth nearly 3 and Ben 12 weeks!) I have been decorating cakes since September 2008 and selling them since Christmas the same year (at first just to friends and family... and now to anyone who wants them!)

Just wondering how you all registered... I put myself down as not proffessional, even tho i sell cakes, as im such a small bussiness of one! Was that right?

I created a new product especially for moms who do cakes. They are called Frostographs. Just got the patent pending number on them. They are edible 3d imaging with wording.

Hi fellow mamas! One of these days I'd like to go pro but for now kiddo comes first. But when she's at school, I can make figures! I make cakes for friends, family, and Austin area cake shows. My icon is a sugar version of the Alien Queen...pretty much the ultimate mama, don't you think? >:D

Hi, having been unemployed since March, i've started making and selling cakes instead of just making for friends and although it's fairly slow, business is picking up nicely.
I mainly do novelty cakes as they are easiest and mostly what people are looking for. I dont have any experience with sugarpaste or fondant although I did get some last week as well as 2 cake dummies and some flower paste and cutters so that I can at least start getting a general idea of what it will entail.
I am also a Personal Trainer and mostly work at Bootcamp SA which is more Team Building and Life Orientation classes for schools and Corporates. It's a lot of fun especially being able to work outside. My favourite work there are the fitness classes as they are the most rewarding. My family (I'm married with 2 daughters aged nearly 10 and 12) are all involved in multisport (trail running, mountainbiking and paddling / swimming) so we keep fairly active.
I guess that's about it for now.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the group and also a sahm managing a decorative concrete business, 5 kids and starting a cupcake business, going through all the legal work right now. I've been decorating cakes for 5 years now..learned mostly from my mom..I'm really excited to have found cakes we bake and joining your group.
