This is for cake decorators that are just starting off. I see a lot of professionals but I want to know about those that haven't got to that point yet. From the looks of my cakes I still have a long way to go. Can anyone relate.

This silcone fondant mat is so wonderful for a beginner cake decorator. I used it today and it made it so easy to cover a 10" x 10" x 5" inch square cake with fondant. I don't think I could have done…Continue

Hi Deana - welcome to the group. Happy baking to you too and hope things work out for you.
Hi Katy, June, Brenda and everyone
It's great finally linking up with this group of avid bakers I'm in Hong Kong, and started cake decorating as ahobby a year ago. I enrolled in a short Wilton course here and have made some disasters and successes! I enjoy baking but as am also working just have no time to plunge into cake business. Had a few orders but am so bad in pricing esp to friends. I have uploaded some of my cakes, hopefully it appears okay as am new in this site. Will keep in touch !
Joseflin - let me tell you, your cakes are amazing. Just seen them on the photo page and they are wonderful. Many congrats on your ability
Welcome Joseflin
Your cakes are lovely. Hard to work full time & do caking. It's so much fun. :o )
Hi, thanks for the nice comments..,There is still sooo much to learn though and it takes practice to excel ! Hopefully in a few years time , after I retire I will defintely pursue this hobby !
Hi, My name is Cindy and I am from Maryland. I used to only bake for family and friends but recently started taking orders from customers. Orders have been steady but I struggle with pricing. I have the cakeulator but often do not charge what is says. My biggest problem is feeling like I'm good enough to charge top prices.
Thank You, June! I just went through and named all of my photos. =) and I'll start checking prices.
has anyone froze cakes? I have a wedding cake, a baby shower cake and a birthday cake this weekend.. I heard you can freeze cakes, but I dont want to sell a frozen cakes,,, you can get that at a local grocery store! any suggestions on how and if it is good
