welcome to the group Leda.   I am new here as well and to the world of cake decorating. I have had to put it on hold just for a little bit longer due to some curves I was thrown. But hope to start teaching myself soon and to take classes as soon as I can get more onto my feet.

Hi! Joseflin!  I bake and decorate occasionally.  Would love to turn my hobby into just a little bit more when I retire in the next two years.  We are working on building a little commercial kitchen overlooking our pond on the side of the house.  I am from South Mississippi.  I LOVE to see others' ideas!

Hi Joseflin.  I'm Katy from England, welcome to this group.  I'm an amateur too (sometimes more amateur than others lol!).  Been baking for a number of years on and off, but have got into it more since I retired and also since I joined CWB - plenty of inspiration and support here.

Welcome.  I am from Canada. I'm  just a hobby baker/amateur and have sold a few cakes, but done for mostly family & friends.  Like Katy.... who is also a good cake friend,  have done more since I  joined CWB & retired.  We are as active as the inquiries/questions posted here.  When they pop up, some member of the group will surely answer. There are also specfic areas under " Forum " on the header on top of the CWB site.  Like: Recipes, Cake Decorating,  Techniques,  etc.  You can always post a question there as well.  :o )

Hi to all the new bakers on the page.  I am like most of you just like to bake cakes for family and friends and have just recently been bitten more and more by the bug of learning to decorate my cakes. I need to get some supplies gathered up first like a few small pans, tips, coloring ect.  I am out of a job right now so I will start getting things as I can.  Right now been soooo intrigued my cupcakes. I have always liked them but really starting to get into them.  I did have a small cafe with my soon to be ex husband that was only opened 1 weekend out of the month and was working on convincing him to let me start putting in cookies and cupcakes and see if I could build from there.  But it did not work out. But I will again.  happy baking
