This is for cake decorators that are just starting off. I see a lot of professionals but I want to know about those that haven't got to that point yet. From the looks of my cakes I still have a long way to go. Can anyone relate.

This silcone fondant mat is so wonderful for a beginner cake decorator. I used it today and it made it so easy to cover a 10" x 10" x 5" inch square cake with fondant. I don't think I could have done…Continue

Hi all
Im from Australia and have been playing around with cake making/decorating for a year or so now. I have started a facebook page called Cakes Tash Bakes for anyone interested in what I have been up to. Some are great but a lot are not so great. You can certainly see how I am progressing. Right now I am working on a 40th wedding anniversary cake and am making some hearts but it is SO hot and humid here right now they arent going too good! Anyways, will be watching this site with lots of interest now that I have found it!
Ah, yes your Summer our Winter. Have to deliver & set up a wedding cake today, and it is FREEZING!!!! There is lot of good info on here Tash. You will find info on fondant/icing on hot days. Lots of decorators, including me, face this at one time or another.
Sorry Stephanie
But when you click on your link....it comes up...group does not exsist.
Went on the photo frost website, and can't find anything on their about a contest either. If it is sponsored on the CWB site, I can't find it
We have 5 days left for our cake contest so get those entries in.http://photofrost.com/contest/
i tried the link for the contest and it is coming up that the group doesnt exist. maybe its a problem with the site.
I am not sure what is going on with the link but please feel free to email me at letsdecorate@photofrost.com to submit your entries. I can't wait to see the beautiful work that you all do.
I was wondering if anyone was going to be attending the ICES convention in Reno this year?
