textured mat or rolling pin
hi, again. Got another question for you all. I would like to put lovely pattern on my fondant, like i have seen in many photos, so was having good look on line at textured mats and rolling pins. So are they basically the same thing? What do you all recommend for me to use?

I think it's a personal preference, but I like a textured mat better :-)

Just remember which ever you use, you still need to roll out the fondant with a standard rolling pin....both mat and textured pin work equally well.

I like the mat better as well, I just feel like I can control the pattern much better. Try both and see which one you like!
