Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

How do I keep my cakes from shifting on the board when in transit? I put icing under them, but it is not working. I tell everybody to be sure to keep them level and not to set them in the seat of the car, but not everybody listens. lol Thanks for your help!! :)

The whole cake is shifting, not just the top layer, right?  Icing should do it.  Add a little more next time.  If the top layer (not tier) is shifting it is certainly because it isn't level in transit or they need to learn how to drive better.

Yeah...the whole cake. Not tiered cakes because I always put a support dowel in. But, my single tier cakes are the ones sliding. I will try adding more icing. I am a perfectionist and it is driving me NUTS! Lol
Tell them that if they dont put the cake   on the floor of the car  or the floor in the back  of an SUV or any LEVEL surface you cant be responsible...there is no way someone can hold a cake level in transit even though the think they can...
Oh and try using royal icing to hold the cakes to your boards
