Hi Carlette, my name is Lorraine, I am also new to this site but from what I can see so far, it is a fantastic site. The people are so friendly and are only too willing to help us newbies find our way round the site. I started baking just over 1 year ago and loving it, so being part of a site like this is fantastic. I work full time so unfortunately I am very limited for time to do baking. Anyway I'm sure you'll enjoy Cakes We Bake. It's all good. See Ya.

Welcome. You are fortunate to be close by of the best companies that make floral cutters. Jem Cutters, which is in Pinetown??? South Africa. Won't have to pay so much $$$$ for shipping, etc. Ck them out.

thank you so much for that information. I had completely forgotten about jem cutters and have been buying from a store that's close to me in JHB. There are still so many items that I want to purchase like the tilting cake stand and laser cut rollers..... :) the list is endless :)

Hello my name is Tala I was referred to this community by Linda McClure and am glad she shared it with me. I have been baking for several years and for the last 2 have been dedicated to learning as much as I can about digital decorating techniques. I run a small business out of my home in South Florida and look forward to many adventures with Cakes We Bake community.

I'm sure, Jersey is a BIG place, and has lots of room for cake shops. It is like someone finding out I am Canadian, and asking,

Hi, my name is Giovanna. I have been doing this off and on for about 10yrs now, specilizing in custom flavors and designs. I dont do a lot of frosting decorations but use chocolates, candy ect. I'm looking forward to sharing ideas etc.

YOu know this site was reccommended to me by a good friend. When I joined and put a comment in about being new. I did not get one reply of interest, but it seems that everyone else that has joined since I did has received a friendly acknowledgement that they joined and people were excited. Every time I get on I see a new person receiving the welcome that I thought I would get. I believe that I will just tell my friend that the site must have changed since she was on it last. Because I can not see her reccommending a site that was not friendly or welcoming to everyone.
