Wow!!! I had no idea there would be such a good response.. I had a whole page of cakes we bake emails lol. I am glad most everyone agree about the date.. Thanks Theresa!!!
Yes I would love the deadline to be October 31 because i doing more birthday cakes right now. I have not gotten the chance to start any halloween cakes, cupcakes or cookies.
I was considering entering for the first time and an extended date would help me for one, simply because I have a lot on this month! Reading above it looks like you have already changed it.
I am in Australia and even though we don't celebrate Halloween I am happy to make a cake simply for practice. I use any excuse I can to practice and am never short of willing people to devour it!
I agree that extending the deadline by a few days should allow bakers a chance to complete their creations and upload photos without compromising the typical timeframe for doing a Halloween cake. Perhaps also allow cupcakes to be included in this contest? I will be baking cupcakes instead of a cake for this holiday and would love to participate!
It does not make any difference to me... I don't have any halloween cakes and the way the knees are doing the cake and cupcakes last weekend did me in so won't be doing any in the near future. I have some halloween cookies that I could enter but not a cake. There are some fantastic entries though. I would think for those who are making a cake for this year extending the date would only make sense! Good luck all!!!
