When I finish my gumpaste roses is there anything I can use to clean up the edges of the petals? Some of them are a little rougher than others from when I thinned the petals. Thanks.

You could use very fine sandpaper or an emery board, I like to use a metal nail file.

Unless it is for compitition why worry?  In nature, almost never do you find perfection:)

When I make b'cream roses I strive to have the broken edges that everyone always complains about!  To me it makes then more real looking.

Neryl's suggestion of using an emery board is spot on :)

I would leave the edges also...makes them look more natural....if you do want to clean up the edges I would use an emory board or fine nail file....I think the metal file might cause more breaks especially if the gumpaste is very thin.
no rose is ever perfect
