Does anyone know of any really good video tutorials online for making different types of high heels.  I've only seen a couple.

this is the one that i used (fyi - 50/50 fonadant/gumpaste is the way to go, i had nightmare problems with straight gumpaste)

my friend Andrea makes astonishing figurines, and she adds tylose to her fondant, im going to try that the next time.

good luck !
Thanks I'll check it out.
really you don't need a video. i use gumpaste-straight up. i also took a pair of shoes (new and cheep) cut the straps off and used the sole to dry the gum paste on. i made a template out of paper and cut the gumpaste using that. i let them dry on the shoes for about 2-3 days (the thinner they are the faster they dry!) i just use cornstarch inbetween the gumpaste and shoe but you can use saran wrap if you are worried at all. then i just make the top style anyway you want. straps or bands and buckles then i handpaint them.
Sorry, but for me, easier said than done. I always have trouble with the sides of the shoe shifting or getting the heel flush and perfect to the soul. I suppose I'm a bit of a perfectionist.
Hi, I am a visual person too :-) if you go to youtube, there are some videos on there that are very informative. Chef Anne Heap has a 3 part Gumpaste Heel Tutorial and its wonderful! I hope this helps. Good luck.
