I made a treasure chest cake cake that had to have a diwali section last year. I ended up making a lamp. It's a beautiful festival!!!

Happy Diwali & Happy New Year...i also celebrated this weekend.

Diwali is "the festival of lights", and is celebrated by Hindu's, Jain's and Sikhs all over the world. The festival celebrates the triumph of good over evil. During this time we light "divas" (lamps), visit family to wish them all the best for the new year, eat and eat LOTS....do fireworks.

It's a very colorful festival!!! :)
