Great! I'm glad to see so many of you are interested. We're getting everything set up and we have to test it out. There are a few more things I'll need to know when I contact you, so you can take your time and give this some thought.
1. How much business can you handle?
2. Do you work alone or with a team?
3. Are you professionally licensed? (We'll find the best way to handle this, so don't get nervous about this question).
4. What do you specialize in, i.e. if you don't want wedding cake orders, I need to know.
What I found, in the past, when referring orders to other cake decorators is that either the decorator is too busy to fill the order, often taking too much time before letting me know, or the decorator doesn't answer me and I wait and wait before finally giving the referral to someone else. So, I want to make this efficient as possible and make sure that you want and can handle leads I give you.
I can handle up to three cakes per week and if one is a wedding cake then 2 per week. I love to work on wedding cakes but also make many all occasion cakes. I mostly work alone, however when things get busy I have someone who assists me. I am not professionally licensed however in Michigan we have the cottage food law that allows us to bake from home. I have a separate kitchen and workroom in the home that was completely remodeled last year. My delivery radius is 50 miles. Thanks!
Hi I am interested I'am in Dingmans Ferry Pa & would be willing to deliver within 50 miles
I have done 5 cakes in one weekend
I mostly work alone but do get help when needed
I specialize in Fondant work
I might be interested! I live in Aurora, Oregon and will travel out approx. 25 miles!
Hugs~

I am very interested. I live in Surrey, BC, Canada and I am willing to serve the Greater Vancouver area and the Fraser Valley (don't know the miles but people who live in Southern BC know what I mean).
I mostly work alone but have some young students who have helped me on several projects and are becoming very proficient. I will do large wedding cakes but prefer the small cutting ceremony cake with cupcakes or table cakes for the reception guests. I can do 2 - 3 wedding cakes in a month and 1 - 2 smaller celebration cakes per week (as long as there isn't a wedding cake that week).
Licensing here in BC is tricky - you can not work out of your home kitchen; however, I am in the process of making arrangements to use a commercial kitchen and then can be licensed.
I specialize in fondant/gumpaste decorations and do both fondant and buttercream to cover cakes. I am just getting into sculpting and will be taking the Wilton courses so I can officially teach.
Thanks,
Laurie
