I like the idea... I love the look of the broach on the bows...You could also just use one large gumpaste flower...I love briar roses...I order them from DecoPac but there are other sites you can order from.

You can make little 5 petal fuchsia colored flowers and pipe branches up one side of the cake. It will look like a cherry blossom design...accent with green leaves I uploaded a few pictures for ideas..got them off www.theknot.com they have over 2000 wedding cake pictures

I just made a bridal shower cake for my best friend over the weekend. It was simple, and matched her invite. I did a 2 tier, chocolate brown & orange color cake. The bottom tier had a bow wrapped around it. And the top tier had strips of orange & brown going across it and some hearts.

Also the theme of the shower was pearls. I made small ball pearls as a trim around both tiers. I'll post a picture up soon...

I will be doing a combination of the cherry blossoms and the ribbon and bow. I presented the ideas to my client and she requested that this be done.

Karen, how did you get the blossoms to look like they do in the 2nd attachment?
