Fondant Cutouts/Royal Icing Flowers Added to a Ganache Covered Cake....

Question from a newbie: Has anyone added fondant cutouts, royal icing flowers to a cake covered in ganache?  Does that hold up okay?  Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions.

I have covered cakes with fondant that are coveed in ganache and they hold up wonderful... If you put them on with a bit of royal icing I'd think it would work. Let us know!
Thanks, Jeri...I appreciate the comment. I'll let you know when I try it how it works for me. Have a great day!
Buttercream is better or just some extra soft ganache for "glue" Royal icing tends to fall off fat-based icings when they are soft.
Thanks KarenMarie, every little bit of information helps and this is a great site for learning and sharing. Thanks again!
