Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I just saw an infomercial for Bake Pop.

I think its a really cool product. It looks like it will make it very easy to create cake pops.

I have some infomercial connections, Let me see if I can get some samples to use as contest prizes.

In the meantime if you want to buy Bake Pop visit

Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't cake pops made of cake mixed with icing?

Using this product you just bake the cake...no need for adding the icing?

I think its a lot of fun to roll cake into balls :D But yes for convenience sake it looks to be okay.

That is so awesome!!! I have not ventured into the cake pop world just yet.... I kind of like just decorating one cake, not doing 24..... That is why I don't do cookies and rarely do cupcakes, but that looks to be neat.

Yeah its a really easy way for people to try out cake pops.

sometimes its best to walk before you run

I think I am going to make some with the scrapes I will have after all the cake I am making this weekend, I just watched a video and they seem realitively simple.
These are not cake pops! I LOVE the rolled variety with the icing mixed in :)  but I can see the convenience of this as well and having perfect shape but still the original rocks.. :)  my 2cents anyway..
how do you make cake pops seen them but not got a clue how they are done, advise me please.

Jackie,

Google, Bakerella and cake pops.  She has a video tutorial!

There is a video on this site, I watched it yesterday.... I like the cake ball method....

I have so much scrap cake from the cakes I have this weekend and Sunday night when I am done with them, I am going to make them with my daughter.  She is right there wanting to do everything with me and I try to tell her, this is my thing, I have to do it.... I feel bad, but I am sure she is going to love it, I am going to let her do most of the work!!! I am looking forward to it....

Denise,  I believe cake pops originally started out as cakeballs on a stick.  I have seen the cakepop/cake ball makers in the stores.

I too, like the texture of the original cakeballs/cakepops.

Well, if you go to the link to order these, be very careful what you click on, and their "special offers".

I read that I would get an additional 15% off my order, and I did order a set, with the bonus extra set for just the $6.99 "processing fee", then another page came up with more confusing info and I ended up ordering 4 sets, two were free, but it all cost me $53.96!!  I was not expecting that and there doesn't seem to be any way to change it, no phone number that I could see.  I should have known better.  I really don't need 4 sets of these.

Does anyone want to buy my 2 extra sets for the $19.99 + shipping?

Feeling like a sucker right now. :(

Yeah the infomercial websites are tricky.

Its always better to call in and order and say no to all the extras.
