All these carrot cake recipes sound so yummy. Can't wait to try them all, but I have a question. Some call for grated carrots and others call for shredded carrots.  Maybe I am wrong but to me grated is when the carrots nearly come out looking mashed and shredded is is very find strips. 2 - 3 cups of grated carrots is alot of carrots. OR do I have the defination of grated all wrong....thanks everyone.
