Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Hi All,

I'm thinking about starting a website...but am looking for something that is free or cheap.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I know some of the people on this site have their own websites, so any advice you can provide is much appreciated.

I love this one, it's free and easy to setup!

you can also go to GoDaddy's ..if you buy a domain name- the website hosting will be free, but with their advertising on it. You can later upgrade..
Mine is hosted by Vistaprint - home of the free business cards! There are lots of graphics/themes to choose from and they start you off with suggested content. I pay $10/month for it but you can have your own email address at the website (you can link it to a yahoo or gmail or whatever), which I think makes you look more legit. I think they have one for $5/month also, but not sure if they have a free option. You can take a look and see if you like it - www.mariposagiftsonline.com. Unfortunately I think I will have to take it down soon, or at least change it to remove the homemade stuff, until I figure out the licensing situation.
I like your site Jennifer very well done!

Thanks! I need photos - and prices - but it's a start!

I also use 'Weebly' as a host site. They are very user friendly. I used Godaddy before and found it to be fairly complex and I'm very computer literate and didn't find them to be user friendly at all.
Mine is through Godaddy.com. CakesOnTheLane.com
