I have the Cuisinart 5 quart and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It has a timer and automatically shuts off when done - My hubby bought it for me for Christmas and it is my favorite thing in my kitchen :)
I have the 6 quart Pro models. That extra quart really makes a difference. I do wish they had flip top heads though.
That's my only complaint too.

Do I have to choose one? If I do.. my Ateco fondant Mat. Has made my life so much easier. My 6 qt kitchen aid is not far behind it though. I have so many tools and toys that I would have a hard time doing without any but these two are my favs.

the model that I have... is the kitchen aid professional 600... and I have a standard kitchen aid too that I use for smaller jobs. Love them both.
There are so many things to make baking easier, but at the moment the Wilton cake leveler is my greatest asset!
My fondant mat was also my favorite Jeri...to me it is invaluable. I also have a Kitchen Aid Counter top and hand mixer but my large fondant mat still comes out in first place.

buy everything with a coupon lol, michaels, takes jo-ann's coupons, and will take two of their own if from a different circular, if you join both sites you get a printable coupon, and i think from hobby lobby to. i get almost everything for 10 dollars, i wish it could be my kitchen aid, i bought one on e-bay fed ex say's they put it on the porch, seller was so great talked to him about 5 times, putting in claim's with e-bay pay-pal, but because fedx said they delivered it they wouldn't pay the insurance , i was home and he didn't use my phone to get in the park, he called the office. i have a dog that only barks when someone is at the door, longgg story short and many phone calls fedx finally agreed to pay, unfortunally i splurged that month, and i can't do it again, i'm sure he delivered it to the wrong house, but i must say the seller was wonderful, he even offered to give me 1/2 the price back wow who would do that, and i forgot it came the next day through fed x, anything i order again goes to the office so no mistakes, but i've learned there are more important things in life, my mother was diagonised with brain cancer the worst and most aggresive, surgery the day after christmas, she's has been doing great at 86 they really hit her hard with radiation and kemo pills, just finishing up her second round of kemo and she is still doing great, my father was really sick last year, and as the day's go by he just looks more feeble, wow i'm so sorry i didn't mean to make this depressing, i guess it was time to vent again, Well i got this martha stewart bowl scraper as i was walking into k-mart on an outdoor sale only 1 sitting there for a dollar and it was screaming my name lol, it work's better than any spatula, you might want to buy one, it's worth regular price. thanks everyone
