Hi all, I made a fairy and her legs and arms are full of cracks. I used fresh fondant with a bit of cmc. I kept it coverd and used all my knowledge with no success. Please help an tell me if there is a way for me to make those arms and legs smooth.

Thank you Karen. On this little lady I am going to use your advice with the emery board. I don't have time to do her all over again. Will let you know how it worked.

If you can't work faster, can you make "slip" out of your fondant/cmc and fill in the cracks?  When it is dry, you could use an emery board to smooth it out if necessary.

Magdalena, jou feetjies lyk great. Maak dit jou trademark

Wow! Afrikaans! dankie vir die kompliment, maar ek het nog baie om te leer.

I don't see anything to say how she ended up Magdalena - did I miss it?  btw I think she's lovely.  It's a bit late to say now, but my first thought would have been to try gently rubbing a little trex, crisco, lard, white fat, whatever it's called in your country lol!

I wi show the end result of my first fairy,  on the cake. I got all the advice I needed from you gals. Thanks! I tried everything except making a new fairy and it worked. My new models will surely look better.

Glad to hear it and looking forward to seeing her in place!
