Here is a tutorial that may help you.  http://www.lovelytutorials.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2790

Try typing mickey mouse cakes in the search box here on cwb Juanita. There are a lot of cakes there that might help

I am doing a hello kitty cake for this sat and a mickey mouse cake for 7 July, my advise would be to break it down into pieces, a teardrop body, round ball for the head with 2 smaller balls indented for ears, roll a thin snake type piece for the tail and lay it on grease proof paper in the shape you want it to dry, make sure to use a stick to make a hole in the teardrop body piece to put the tail in once its dry and ready to be assembeled, fatter snakes for arms and legs etc, what i do when making figures is make the parts and allow them to almost comepletely dry before assembling them using florist wire, cocktail sticks and petal glue. I use the wire etc to basically make the bones of the figure and push the parts together on the sticks or wire. It makes me feel better knowing there is a solid infastructure in my joins, rather than fondant balancing on fondant. By doing this the figures are more stable and being touched or bumped doesnt carry as higher risk as if they didnt have the wire or sticks.I also make my figures a week in advance so if something breaks or needs touch ups, its dry and i have time to make changes. They also dry better if given enough time.
