Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

We get so many visitors to the site asking how to make cake pops or looking for a cake pop recipe that I decided to create a forum discussion all about cake pop recipes and how to make the best tasting cake pop.

Really easy cake pop recipe. This is a great cakepop recipe for first timers, very easy to make.

You will need 1 box of cake mix, 1 container of frosting, candy to melt, cake pop sticks (lollipop sticks), and a Styrofoam block

  1. Bake a 13×9 cake. Vanilla chocolate whatever you desire, just follow the instructions on the box. Let it cool. Crumble the cake (if you have kids they will love this) and add in 1 can of frosting. Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  2. After refrigerating, Create balls from the mixture of cake and frosting. Then place a loli stick into the top of each cake ball. Put them into the refrigerator for another 15 minutes
  3. While waiting, start melting your candy melts.
  4. After 15 minutes in the fridge, dip and swirl each pop into your candy melt.
  5. Once you’ve got an even coating on the cake pop, place the stick into a Styrofoam block while the candy melt shell hardens.

Please add your favorite cake pop recipes. It would be great if we had a huge selection of cake pop recipes for anyone not sure how to make cake pops

Great idea ! Thank you

Tip. I found out it is much better after you form the balls, dip the sticks in the balls(with candy melts) and then refrigerate them.  The stick stays on much better

I have made lots of cake pops . The best thing that I found is maje my cake from scratch and to make butter cream icing.

You all make me jealous... I hate making cake pops!  Those little buggers take forever!
