Please can someone give me a clue on "how to make the 'facial features' of a life size cake sculpture, to become a replica of an individual".
Is it by fine sculpturing and carving with chisel and other tools? If so, it needs expertize in sculpturing to be able to make such cakes. or
Is it by making a mold of the persons face and then using the mold for the facial part of the cake?. If so, it is rather too cumbersome for the customer and more expensive, but easier.
I'm aware that measurements of the individual will be taken.
Please share with me.

In watching shows where they have made life-sized sculpture cakes of a specific individual, they usually start with a rice cereal treat head and mold it to the general shape to start - then add modeling chocolate and sculpt it using gumpaste modeling tools. Yes, it would require some talent in the area of sculpting. It is attached to the body with some kind of pole structure - keep in mind it will be heavy once you add the "hair" - again modeling chocolate or fondant.
