Hi there... Can anyone help me please.. How can I get a glossy shiny effect on my sugar paste/ icing.. I recently made some Xmas cookies and when the icing set, it had died very dull with a matt finish...where am I going wrong ladies..Please HELP!!! :-)

With fondant you can use steam to make it glossy.  But for poured icing, I'm not sure - I'd say if your recipe doesn't have corn syrup in it to add that or find a recipe that uses it because those always come out glossy.  Good luck!
