My first paid cake
I was asked to make a 10in strawberry and whipped cream cake for pick the day before Thanksgiven..What cake recipe should I use ? It will be a double layer. Help..

yes. Fresh whipped cream and fresh strawberries. I am thinking of sponge cake.

Sponge cake would work, I've also used regular vanilla cake (betty crocker actually!) for something a little heavier and it was wonderful. If you can I would make the cake the day off, just because when you use strawberries they're have a lot of juices and this could make your cake a bit soggy.
