Thanks Ruby :) I've had pretty good luck with the store bought fondant & MMF on a regular cake..even the MMF on a regular cake but never tried the MMF on a dummy cake, and I was concern rather or not it would adhere ok to the dummy cake since I find that my MMF seems to be less stif than regular fondant. Thanks, for the additional tips as well :)
Thanks for the tps Glenda...I'm getting excited to give the MMF & cake dummy a try :)

Funny I just did an experiment on a 6" round with MMF. I covered the styrofoam with cling wrap VERY TIGHT and then taped it on the bottom (this way when I take the cake apart I can reuse the styrofoam without a mess). I Sprayed a little water over the covered dummy with a spay bottle then covered it with the MMF. The cake is now 2 weeks old and the fondant is smooth. No problems.
I just tried it with crisco like Ruby Johnson suggested. I was able to take the fondant off and reuse the dummy with no problems.
