Great pics Stephania...care to give some pointers especially on how you prepared the fondant/gum paste for the Cricut..what were your trials and errors and how did you have such success...I have read a lot of frustrations concerning getting it to cut properly.

I have the Cricut Cake also... What product do you like the best to cut on... I have used all three they said when I watched the launch on HSN. So far the cuts came out the best on gum past. The rolled fondant (Satin Ice) was easy to kneed and roll but to soft to cut. Those frosting sheets that came with it, were very very thin, I couldn't even get them off the paper. I don't know why but I am have trouble with it. I love the finished product once I get it, but it takes me so long to get there. Did you dye the product you used, I painted my cut outs. I would love to know anyones secrets or tricks to using this. I love the idea of it and hope to master it soon.
I JUST figured my Cricut Cake out too! I played and played with fondant at first with NO success. I found a recipe for JEM gum paste and it worked like a dream! I did color it. I was amazed at how smooth the color (paste) blended. I haven't worked with gum paste in the past but am really looking forward to it in the future!
I just posted a picture of a cake I did with cut outs from the Cricut Cake. I used fondant I bought from the store, Satin Ice. I can not figure out how to put it on this page. I uploaded it from my phone. So it is not on my computer. Please check it out. Like I said before I will master this thing sooner or later, hopefully sooner.
i am still new to all this on here with cake stuff i did use store fondant from Wilton knee it and put it on the mate cutter and put in the frezzer for few seac.. the cut good better then you just knee it and put it on the mate .. i will but up the size i us on the cuter when i get home i hope that help some .. i still have a lot of work to get it right ....

Here is my first cake with the cricut cake machine,, I found that you have to make the fondant as thin as you can,, and dont use alot of shortning on mat,,
What cartridge did you use to make the "Happy Birthday" letters.
I am ashamed to say I have only used my Cake once. I am more determined after last night to get the hang of it. I got it to work for my Curious George cake(lettering). I spent so much time on molds making footprints for 3 dozen cupcakes and a small cake. Does anyone have or tried either SCAL or MTC? Great job you guys!
