I was thinking also...What is this going to do to all the cake decorators who take pride in thier hand work? They spent many years perfecting thier work. Are there other people out there that feel the same?
I did! I have been saving for it and am still about 120.00 shy of getting it. =)
But God knows....it will happen just maybe not today.
Did you stay up Diana?
Yes! But you can watch it again today at 4pm on HSN.
I have been saving for it and was 130.00 short, but my husband just called me to say go and get it!!! So I JUST ordered it. Yippeeee! Happy early bday to me!

Ok what did I NOT stay up for & now I missed it....Was it the "unveiling" of the new Cricut cake??? I SOOOOOOO want one :(
For all of you lucky enough to purchase one of these now, I was in Michael's today and it looks like they have all of their cartridges on sale from $29.00 to $39.00. The original prices were from $69.99-$89.99 (I think that is what the sign said.)
Well ~ I too gave in and ordered one. Patricia, I agree with you when it comes to those who take pride in their own work also. Now that the Cricket for fondants is out, the competition is going to be high. There will still be areas where we will have to do some of the work ourselves and put our own creative touch to our cakes but it will be nice to have help. By the time it was advertised on HSN, within 1/2 period, they had sold over 1,700! The good thing about ordering it on HSN is the cartridges/DVD that they provided, which will not be sold in stores anywhere, and all the other things that they provide.
I have the Cricut Expression. My daugther give me one as a gift as soon as she saw Linda McClure video. I also have Linda's videos and love my cricut. The Cricut works magic. The first time my gumpaste dry cause i was new in both, the program and the machine, but now, i got into it and i love it. Less wasted time, dowload images from the internet, work with them and Cut. Simple. Also have the software Make the Cut, don't by Cricut software, it's a waste of money, only works with cricut cartridges. I add the links for you to review.

I ordered it! Couldn't resist. @ Patricia, I also kind of felt the same way, but trust me I don't plan on being a professional cake decorator. I don't think the pros have anything to fear. If anything, I think this may make some things easier for them.
