black icing bleeding into fondant

thanks for the help. I did mean black buttercream. I will wait until the afternoon of the party to put the cake together.

that's funny! it's just a kids party so I'm sure it's not a big deal but I've made black icing before and never had this problem

I don't know if this will help, but I recently found and bought edible pigmented paint from www.foodazzler.com. If you paint the bottom of the fondant with the black paint, that might be enough of a boundary to prevent the fondant from wicking the green dye out of the icing.
