Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Hi everyone,
I am making a yellow cake and the client wants strawberry filling.  To prevent the strawberry juice from soaking into the cake should I apply a layer of buttercream icing?  Or any other ideas would be helpful.  Thank you. Renee

That is what I did when I had real strawberries for my filling. I put a thin layer of bc than the strawberry mixture than another thin layer of bc. That way they didn't soak into the top or bottom layer.

I usually put some wippet cream and it works perfect
u can also mix the strawberries in the buttercream
