GSA got the Buttercream Satin Ice in and I ordered a pail to see what I thougt.... it came today and I opened it up and tasted it... not sure if I like it or not. Was not blown away by the first bite. WIll try again... I had just eaten a BBQ Beef Sandwich and that might have had something to do with it.
Anyone else tried it yet? Just wondering if it was me... or if it really is better than my first bite.

I guess I'll throw my 2 cents in too. I've never even made fondant, and to be quite honest, I'm scared - very scared!! :S
I was impressed with Satin Ice, I've also heard Wilton has a new 'recipe' but don't think I've tried it. But there is also a group here on CWB, where I learned about FONDARIFIC fondant. I ordered some samples and I must admit, Berry Flavor, Vanilla, Choco Mocha, Cherry, Lemon.... all sound yummy (and tasty, the ones I tried), but there are a bit more expensive than Satin Ice.
I'll say this... the flavored ones (like berry and lemon and cherry etc) are great for figures, but on a cake, they are a little shocking. Lemon fondant could go on a lemon cake, but it's not worth the investment to me. Fondant should be neutral and meld with the rest of the flavors. Their buttercream flavor is good, but for the money I'll stick with Satin Ice for now.

I haven't tasted it .... it's very expensive to buy here!!!
Hi everyone,
I thought i'd give my opinion too...i have been using Satin Ice, and i absolutely love it. It tastes good and good to work with. I do find however sometimes it gets dry, but that could be my own doing leaving it exposed sometimes!!
But i had one question...i've noticed that when I put the fondant on the cake a day before the delivery, the next day its become hard....i suppose that is normal? I would think it gets a little hard, but not so much. Any reasons for this??
