My little boy loves anything with wheels. Trains, tractors, cars, trucks.
Thanks!
My 3 y/o grandson loves all those things. Ya'll sharing the ideas and me seeing them typed out really did help! I was thinking cars...but you grouped them all together, Shallena, the only thing that was coming to mind was Hotwheels(which is his favorite) but they're not supposed to be for that age and I got stuck. " ...and that's what little boys are made of" but I didn't want to do a bunch of snakes, and snails and puppy dog tails...lol ...I'm not an airhead...really...just haven't had a complete thought all week...not one that made sense anyway. Sherry, thanks for suggesting the animals...whole animals do seem much more appealing than just their tails.
I'm sure the request seemed so elementary but I couldn't think of anything.
This will help me with my 10 things a day....
I have those days and weeks all of the time. Sometimes you think so hard that every thought you ever had, gets stuck and lost somewhere out in space. One thing I have found out with that age is they will love just about anything you make when they find out its for them and they know what it is! I made a train cake for my nephew who turned 2 and the fact that it was for him and he could name it made his day! Good luck! Can't wait to see pics.

We were stuck on our grandson's birthday cake for this weekend because we call him our little Monkey and we were going to do monkeys but he LOVES Elmo so we had decided on Elmo and then it grew... now it is Elmo... Big Bird, Oscar, Cookie Monster, all full bodied characters and I did Bert & Ernie faces to look out the window... have a big night tomorrow night putting the cake together then will put the deco on it on Saturday before the party. I had to do this one a day ahead because we will be headed to see them on Friday eve. I am sure what ever you come up with it will be fantastic!

That sounds like it's going to be a great looking piece!

I was hoping to build a collection of items...generic...I seem to be getting more and more last minute customers and I'd like to be able to offer them something without it doing me in trying to do it. Mostly they're wanting flowers...and that is fine with me...my floral collection is overflowing(I love doing flowers). It's all the other stuff that's lacking...numbers, letters, baby stuff, toddler boy stuff...
I have a photograph of a toddler boy's topper on my page it's got snails on it ( very french!)
Hi, I have just replied to the boy's toddler idea and I have also started a discussion about templates, would you be kind enought to look at this? it sort of applies. I would be interested to hear what you think.

Hi Sherry, you have a pattern for a converse sneakers, is this the same as a template? I have templates on the brain at the moment.

converse sneakers (let me know I have the pattern)
Sherry! loosing my marbles! ok so a template is the same as a pattern but I'm thinking a drawing that you put under grease proof paper ( so you can see the drawing) and then piping over the lines of the drawing filling in with fluid icing ? after it's set you lift off the design and apply it to the cake?

yes Tanya, same as a template...I am a sewer so I use the word pattern!!!

Tanya, your snail topper is adorable! (beautifully done...as is every piece you've got posted!)
My son is 2 1/2 and loves the drums! I made him a drum cake when he turned two!
(I'm ** something) I love drums too!

I suppose part of my issue with making boy stuff is that I'd rather be making girly stuff. I don't know. Like making cakes to look like motor parts...the guys love 'em! I hate everything from researching the part to delivering them. I don't even take pictures of them I dislike them so!
