Where do you buy your cake pans or is it worthwhile to just rent them?
I'm looking for a large square pan and they cost a fortune!!

I live in Niagara Falls, and we have a store called Party Connection where I rent pans. You can also rent them at the Bulk Barn, but they don't rent the ones sold in sets (the square pans of different sizes).
Hi I'm from Alberta.
The same regulations apply here, for opening a cake decorating business. The regulations are way more slack, if you were planning on opening a Bed & Breakfast. Just go figure.
I have a 3-bowl sink already, but it may not be deep enough for their liking. Whatever...I'm going to fly under the radar.
About the pans...google michaels + crafts + coupons. You can print coupons for 40% off, 1 regular priced item. Sometimes when you buy things there, you will get an attached coupon, with your reciept. I live 45 minutes from our closest Michaels, so I print a coupon at home, before I go. That is when I buy the higher ticketed items.
Also how far are you from the states? Wal-Mart down there has a decorating section, that is better than the one up here. They have pan sets too. Their flexible decorating bags were $3.00 each & Michaels were $4.99. The large & XL bags down there, were a bunch cheaper.
You're ahead of the deal, with the money around par. I spent a month in Arizona with my brother & even got in on Black Friday. I came home with 25 tips, 10 - 10" bags, 5 - 8" bags, 2 - 12" bags, 1 - 16" bag, 1 - 18" bag & a paisley pan set. I had so much metal in my checked bags, I thought they would open them for sure.
Then we went to Kalispell, MT for the weekend, just before christmas. I got a heart pan set & some other goodies. I have had way too much fun lately.
You just have to keep your eyes open for deals & cool stuff.
The Bullk Barn is in the same city as Michaels, but I haven't rented any pans.
