Hi guys...need help with mascarpone maple syrup frosting. The recipe i have uses way too much sugar and then the texture of the frosting isnt great either! Does anyone have a good tried and tested recipe....many thanx

Ipshita, share your recipe, maybe someone can troubleshoot it for you. BTW, isn't mascarpone a little on the grainy side? I'm not sure you can change that.
Deah, here goes the recipe :
6 tbsp butter
4 ounces mascarpone
1 1/4 cup icing sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
I'm looking for something a little less sweet and better texture....thanx for writing :)
I bet that 1/4 c of maple syrup does make it too sweet. How about if you reduce the syrup and add maple flavoring?
