Well, my mouth is slack and agape!  I cannot believe how fast she decorated this cake and how beautiful the piping!

Really nice...Pretty cake too. It doesn't take long if the cake is already iced, bags filled and know what design you want to pipe. It's getting everything ready that takes time.

With the exception of the roses, I can certainly pipe like that...but absolutely no way that fast!!! I'm slow and methodical. I didn't like the roses..too big...to supermarket. Not like your roses Betty. Pretty and well formed. And your also right Betty about the prep time, that's why when I did your b-day cake, it was black and white. I was so busy, I didn't have time to make multiple bowls of different colour red icing. Then load up all the bags. Wouldn't it be nice if you could buy lovely tasting pre-made icing in buckets like you can fondant. Not crappy petroleum/oil based icing, but icing made with real butter. Then, just pop open the bucket, and plop into your icing bag.,My bulk store sells large buckets of icing, but it is truly, truly gross. I got it once, and really had to doctor it up. You'd think with all the decorating inventions...sugarlace, Isomalt, decogel, etc., someone would be smart enough to make good quality coloured icing, and freeze it for sale to the public.

It looked like they were using whipped cream.  I have been watching them on youtube for over a year, and they do amazing stuff with it.   Some have pedals under the table that keeps the cake spinning as they work on it!  You guys must have seen them, and know what I am talking about.  They do amazing stuff with it, not your average household whipped cream! lol

There is no recipe for the icing. It's "non-dairy whipped icing", Rich's USA made it. Basically it's liquid Coolwhip, you just whip it up yourself. Yeah, it's hydrogenated palm oil, but the mouth feel and ease of clean up is way better than heavy cream

Bonnie, that last one looks like a potter in action!  It's incredible, what skill.  Mind you, don't think I fancy eating it - really sickly?

Betty may or may not be as fast as this woman, but she is a whole sight lot better!  Can you imagine our Betty using a rose that looked like that!  Do not get me wrong, this decorator is amazing, but she ain't Betty!
