Oh yes, Although I watched it a long time now, I will never forget her first impression of the cake, she did look kind of sad. I'm sure it is a great cake, but that is a cake she sees everyday...so no extra effort or thought went on her cake...I felt sad for her. But again, is only a t.v. Show.

yeah, I thought the same thing. maybe he did think the butter-cream cake (is that the name?) was fitting, considering all the elaborate cakes he makes, mom gets a glorified sheet cake. I was disappointed when I heard his decision.

Possible spoiler alert:

I just read a article that Buddy fired mary. I hate it when people get fired, but I admit I thought 'what took so long?' when I read that. if you read the comments on line about the bakery, next to people commenting on how long the line is to get in, most of the comments are about how bad the customer service there is.

just saw a episode where she sold a cake that was put away for someone else.  seems that a cake put aside would be a indication that maybe it's for someone else.

famous place or not, people will only put up with bad customer service  for so long.

I admit, I'm hooked on this show!
