can some help me and tell me how i GET More height in my cakes i know this is dumb question but i am getting mysef very stressed about this

I found that if I put non-stick baking paper around the inside of my baking tins my cakes didn't rise properly it's as if they didn't have anything to latch on to. I went back to good old butter and flour and voila! If your cake doesn't rise as expected torte it and fill it with cream this will also give it height.
