Aw, thanks June! You're a sweetie!! I don't know a lot about Pinterest, but it seems a coincidence that my hubby and I were just talking about it (wondering exactly what it is) about 5 minutes before I read your message! I suppose I'll have to check in to it!

Yes we get on fine.  It was all so long ago now - about 35 years.  She still irritates the hell out of him sometimes lol, but after the initial tough times, they agreed to be amicable about things.  Obviously better that way for the children (Mick had custody of them and they were about 15 and 12 years old and he kept the house).  It's all turned out well as the grandchildren have their grandparents in all stages of their life and at all family do's.  We actually went to Belgium and France with them earlier in the year.  We're all very lucky. x

Hi June - so glad you like the picture.  It was of all the ladies at Lesley's 50th birthday dinner.  I don' t know if this will make it bigger, but just in case it does, I have attached the photo again here.  From left to right we have Mick's son's girlfriend Annie, Sarah who is our eldest grandson's (Jose) girlfriend, Lesley's Mum (Mick's first wife) Sue, Lesley, Me, Laura who is Lesley's best friend since the year dot and is part of the family and the lovely Daisy.

I know what you mean.  I went from Miller to Swierczynski.  Of course, Miller was my name from my first marriage sooooooooo probably didn't want to keep that one. ;)

June, there's a new discussion - Photos.  She's having trouble loading from her iPad.  Can you take a look since you have an iPad?

Hi June - yes, my name is Polish, but I am not. :)  My husband is. I'm actually a real mutt of European descent (Irish, German, French, Hungarian).

Thank you so much June. I am not not computer savvy. It takes so much to post pictures. I am always scared of bungling up. A Blog, now that's even scary. I sure can type but... there's always a first time for everything I guess. I shall comply to your advice and do it the next time. I hope I don't mess it up. Thanks Ms June for all your kind words. Happy Baking.

Consistency for string work... lemon juice helps keep string work from not breaking...

At 11:26pm on August 29, 2012, Timothy Jansen said…

That's basically my recipe... but I make twice as much (and I ad a little lemon juice to help with the string work...) So... maybe since I make twice the volume... that could be the time factor...?

Thanks June! Can't wait to try the Lemon pie... and now your Lemonade cake...

THANK YOU June!!!! I think I was the one who begged you to share your Lemon pie recipe with us...!!! Something to do with Royal Icing and stiff peaks...? I can't WAIT to try it...!

By the way... 10 min. royal icing... does that include getting everything out (which takes me FOREVER) wiping everything in the kitchen with sanitizer. Then organizing everything in order of what's to be used first... Then.... turn on the blended and go (there's four or five min. just there)... Your talking from the beginning of the blended...? right...? It still takes me 15 min from that point... I don't know how you do it...? AMAZING!
