Dina thanks for your appreciation. Matter much to me. Yes, I did all the figures alone ... and I love to do that. Each figure is a challenge for me ... and I like challenges! Thanks again for appreciation and for your friendship!

Dina, I think the brand name is American colors and if you get the one named copper, just a tiny toothpick drop will be the exact color you are looking for. It that one is too dark for you, try a peach color.

Oh, gosh, Dina, I am no expert, but I would imagine that you could make them out of either one, the royal icing or the gum paste. With the royal icing, you can use a black petal dust or black food paste and literally paint the edges black using either a very high alcohol content Vodka or Ever Clear as a thinner and a flat brush. That is what I used for the gold on my royal icing hearts. In my state you can buy Ever clear and it is the highest alcohol content available I believe, and when you mix it with petal dust a drop at a time, and then paint it on the edges, it evaporates so quickly that it does not disturb the royal icing or the gum paste. You could also use an air brush and just touch the edges of each flower. That would give a softer look. You could also use the petal dust dry and start where you want it to be on the edges and work away from the center of the flower.
