This is a wedding cake I made for a friend. I used the Cameo for all of the cut decorations. The bottom tier has 3 rows of ruffles. I cut the scalloped ruffles from gum paste. All of the flowers were made from gum paste and the petals and leaves were cut out using the Cameo. The Damask designs and flowers covering the cake were cut out using Icing Image white icing sheets. I was able to create this very beautiful and elegant wedding cake using the Cameo. The Cameo is a great tool to use for creating amazing designs. Icing Images icing sheets cut easily and look beautiful on a cake.

Beautiful. Being new to making fancy cakes, I will check out your site and see what the Cameo is all about.

Debbie, I don't know if you could cut all of these designs by hand. I think it would take a very long time and you would never be able to get the fine detail. I had the designs figured out and saved in my computer, so it probably took an hour to cut everything for this cake.

I believe this is my favorite of all the cakes you have done! Absolutely beautiful! Linda, I do have a question, if you did this all by hand, how many hours would it have taken you versus using your cameo?
