Chocolate Banana Cake is a delicious cake that needs no frosting. A very moist cake is a great dessert. Whip this up for your next dinner party.
Prepare the following ingredients:
- One half cup of sunflower oil
- One cup of caster sugar
- One and a half cup of all-purpose flour
- One teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
- Two tablespoons of cocoa powder
- Four tablespoons of cocoa powder
- One half cup of chocolate tips
- Five pieces of bananas
- Three eggs
- One half cup of milk
Toppings:
- One bar of milk chocolate
- One cup of soured cream
- One cup of dried banana chips, chopped
What you need to do:
- Heat the oven to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Place some grease on the pan. Line it with baking parchment. Put some excess two centimeters on the top part of the tin.
- In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, bicarbonate of soda, cocoa, and chocolate. Beat the ingredients and make sure that the powders are mixed well together.
- In a separate bowl, stir one whole egg. Add in just the yolks of the two remaining eggs, with the oil and milk. In another bowl, mash the bananas well. Blend the egg mixture with the mashed bananas.
- In a smaller bowl, mix the egg whites. Stir well until it stiffens.
- Add the banana mixture with the dry ingredients. Pour in a quarter of the egg white mixture, just to make sure to loosen up the banana mixture. Place on the tin and bake for about one hour and ten to fifteen minutes. Let it cool.
- This part is optional, if you want to put an icing to your cake. Here is what you should do:
- Melt the chocolate and soured cream on a bowl in a pan filled with water. Make sure that the bowl is heatproof. Let it simmer. After a while, place the bowl inside the fridge. Wait until it is spreadable before removing from the fridge.
- Spread the mixture on top of the cake. Swirl it over and scatter with banana chips. Serve and enjoy!

Choco-Banana Muffin
Ingredients:
- Three overripe bananas
- Three fourths cup of vegetable oil
- Two large eggs
- One half cup of brown sugar
- One and a half cup of all-purpose flour
- Three tablespoons of cocoa powder
- One teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
What you need to do:
- Heat the oven to 200 C. Line a muffin pan with papers. Use the one with 12 buns.
- Mash the bananas using spoon or by hand in a large bowl. While beating the banana, add the oil, eggs, and sugar. Mix well together.
- In a smaller bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, and bicarbonate together. Add it slowly to the banana mixture. Place it into the prepared papers
- Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes. The muffins should be dark brown and has a nice round shape peaking on the top. Let it cool before removing from the pan. Serve and enjoy!
