Another newbee here!
Good morning everyone, just wanted to drop a line and intro myself.
Found this awesome place and see some familiar faces/names thank goodness. I reside in the wonderful state of VT. (sometimes it's not so wonderful). I am the owner of a custom cake shoppe and just this past year opened a cake studio in town. I do all the baking at home, but needed the separate client consultation space, and found a nice little spot right on main street in Wells River, VT. I have 5 lovely children & 1 precious grand daughter! :) I have been happily married for almost 21 years to a wonderful man, we have been in and around the military most of our lives. I have been decorating cakes for 20+ years, (who would have thought that it would all started with a wilton "big bird" cake for my daughter) . Been a designer for the past 4 yrs as a business. I love doing anything that involves cake, sugar, and family!!!
I hope to learn a lot from many of you and to lend a hand to those who might have questions that I may have an answer to. I am excited to be making new friends and seeing much more of everyone's work on here.
I want to give a special shout out to anyone in New England, I don't think that there are that many of us. I've counted about 12 here and would like to find out where you all are at. I travel a lot around N.E. I'm originally from MA and do most of my summers in NH, so would LOVE to be able to take road trips to play in cake!! Anyone up for that? Drop me a line!! :)

I think I would like to look into doing just that. There are no cake clubs in VT that I am aware of, and would like to commiserate with other cakers in the area.

Yes, he is near Burlington.
If you want to meet New England people, you can make a group for it and then people from the area will join. Not everyone identifies their location in their profile.

the name doesn't hit me in the head, but, he may be up in the Burlington area. I am pretty much located in the central part of the state, close to the CT River.

I don't know Vermont very well, but have you ever heard of Mimmo's Pizzeria? He's my cousin and he has a few stores up there.
