i bought the books and veiner sheets from www.countrykitchensa.com. it is really easy to do, and really enhances the looks of your decorated cakes. i highly recommend anyone interested learning this technique. it is easy, so much fun, and really brings the oooooohs and ahhhhhs to your cakes. you won't be sorry, and once you purchase the books and veining sheets, you don't need anything special to make these. they are made with unflavored knox gelatin, you can make them anytime you have the time to do them, just put them in a box out of the sunlight to airdry, and use them whenever you need them. also, store them in a box in a place away from the sunlight and they can be saved as keepsakes for special occasions. they really make your cake special. they are only airdried, and don't take up a lot of space. i purchased 3 sets of the veining sheets so i can make 3 of whatever kind i am making at a time. you can also purchase texture sheets for these and make other objects for your cake. my friends have claimed the butterflies look like they are actually flying over the cake. the books are gelatin in bloom, and gelatin still blooming. highly recommend purchasing these books and veining sheets and start having fun! thank you so much for the compliment, i would like to add you as a friend, if you need any more info, please feel free to ask.

Thanks Brenda. I haven't been decorating for too long so sometimes I feel like I spend way too much time on them.
