Hi thanks for your comments  !!

This house ! well not too difficult , it starts as a 10 inch square sponge , i use a madiera mix so its a bit firmer , trim the crust all round , thm cut about 1 and 1/2 inches off one end then stand it up , trim a bit off the dome of the cake .

Now the fun ! cut across , or lay flat to do this , 3 or 4 layers , then build it back up withbuttercream filling , it maybe a bit wobbly so if you use a drum board you can use kebab skewers and push them down , 2 should be enough , them gently tap them into the board , this will help keep it steady while you apply the fondant icing .

Then using fondant mixed with Gum Tragacanth , rollout measure and cut sides , front , floors etc and leave to dry over nite , you could cut windows out now or leave till dryer wont really matter , or make them seperate and cut a bigger square out , which maybe easier , then glue in place .

For the columns use dowels covered to give support for the overhanging window.

Sounds like a lot of work when you write it down but more work in flower making !!!

This cake was a suprise for a workmates mum , but her mum had to take it upto Scotland from Surrey  , England . It was sealed and arrived safely.

Wow longest bitof typing have ever done !! Martin

For some reason, I can not respond or send any messages so here is the answer to your question... I have ordered boxes from Country Kitchen Sweetart  and from Kitchen Krafts both.  They are just plain white boxes.  The tags I make from my Stampin Up punches and stamps.  The ribbon I pick up at craft stores.
Thanks! They are Fun!
