I went to Australia in 1969 when I was 14 years old.
We were ten pound poms! we lived in northcote on Mansfield st. I started work there in a shop (lingerie) called "Judith Marie" long gone.
Then I worked in little collins st for a "madam Kovak" selling naughty underwear! I do not bake I can cook but baking is different, I make cake crown topper now, see my website www.lebigkiss.com We live in the sticks with cats and hens we are both artists.Where do you live? and what is your speciallity cake wise? I have never been back to Australia but it is something I long to do.

My husband's job recently took us to Vancouver for 3 years. That was quite an experience. That is where my interest in baking really took off. I joined a cake decorating site and did Wilton classes. Now, I am back in Melbourne, and I have had to change how I make cakes a bit as the ingredients are so different. France would be a lovely place to live. Do you do much baking? Regards, Nicki.

Melbourne caught my eye as I used to live there many years ago! so I thought I would say "hello" and perhaps find out more about you.
I live in the Loire valley in France where I make cake toppers out of paper card and other lovely things.
