Yes, I figured this out too Monica. Modeling chocolate is so soft, so with the stability of the fondant, it helps. Sometimes, add a very small touch of tylose powder.

yes aronna, make or purchase the fondant, make your modeling chocolate, you could do a 50/50 mix or if its too soft for you to handle you can make 70% fondant with 30% modeling choco.  For me it all depends on what im trying to do, different cakes my require more or less chocolate mix with the fondant.  I have done lots of experiementing and this is what works for me.  Just do a little practice with it and you will soon find your footing.

hi  aronna:

This is a 50/50 modeling chocolate and fondant, when iam doing sculpting work, i use modeling chocolate to get that smooth appearance, when iam covering anything else, i will use this 50/50, it makes the mmf taste better and has more elasticity, it also doesnt sweat when it comes out of the frige.
