This is me (right) with my client who ordered the cake for her husband. I estimate the cake to be approximately 3 ft long by about 18 inches high.

Thank you so much, Sandra! I never thought I would attempt a cake like that either. But my husband built a good, sturdy chassis for it and that was really one of the keys to making it possible. All the best cakes require a trip to the hardware store, right? lol
Tracy - LOL! :)
At Linda, new word for me "pun",,, lol.
At Rebecca, I admire your modesty. On your last comment, "but it turned out well"... That is a cake that I would NEVER attempt to do...(am more in the romantic side), but I vow to you for your creativity in performing such a perfect and amazing cake. I live very close to Daytona Beach, (bikers everywhere), you would be a reach woman in Florida. LOL
you are so talented...WOW!!!!!
heh heh, heh, I just caught your 'pun', Tracy. I think you and Sandra V have been doing more puns this week than anyone.
Holy moly!!! That is awesome!
Wow, thank you guys! Holly, actually I was the one who came up with the idea. She wanted a motorcycle cake for her husband and I had never done a 3-dimenisonal one before. She was just expecting a shaped sheet cake or something. But after thinking about it, I called her and asked if she minded if I experiment - with the disclaimer that she might end up with a Costco cake if it didn't work out. She let me run with the idea! I can't tell you how nervous I was! But it turned out well.
Ammmmazing!!! So much creativity and hard work! You are one talented lady!!
Love it, what a great job. Did you just want to run the other way when they suggested it, or did you dive in head first?
