LOL! You should a lot like me, Gali! If it tastes like chocolate fudge, I would have a hard time getting it on the cake instead of in my mouth! I am definitely going to use the tylose. Thanks.
oh , maybe soften more with Crisco on your hands ! or a touch of water !I make mine with mm fondant and tylose !I only fondant if I need dark colors for a whole cake !almost never ,lol , and the black is very easy if you use chocolate mm's ! , its much easyer to make black fondant , try June recipe , taste like chocolate fudge , be carful it eats like fudge ! lol , I know this I ate it !,
Oh, I didn't mean the gum paste wasn't soft because it is, but when I make flowers, they look brittle instead of soft and, of course, the dried gum paste is very brittle....or mine is, anyway.
keep kneading it it will get soft , you knead it be 4 ea petal , ! it will come to look softer !
Great tip about buying on ebay. I will check it out.
I always make my gum paste, have never used ready made, and it works great but is really, really brittle. And, as I said, I have never been able to get the "soft" look, like your roses.
& thank you ;x
yes , I can add what I think it needs due to the weather ! more or less , I never buy gumpaste , ! it dries b4 I can use it up this way , I make it as I need it ! and tylose is so cheap ! I buy mine on ebay !
Gorgeous, Gali! Do you prefer fondant with tylose to gum paste?
