This is a dummy cake that I am in the process of working on for the September cake show in our area. so far, this is as far as I have gotten. I plan on adding two more tiers below the bottom of this tier. The top is called brushed embroidery and the bottom tier is called the tufted billow weave technique. I used the air brush to spray super pearl luster on the whole cake.

Thank you Mandy. Actually, that is not pearls but rather a strip of wedding trim that has rhinestones that are supposed to look like rows of diamonds. I might have to remove that and put another strip because when I airbrushed the two, I tried to avoid that strip, but as you can see, it does look more like pearls since the spray was pearl and of course it got it too.

wowzer!  looking forward to seeing the finished product - wow so far :-)  the row of pearls around the base of the top tier - is that piped?

Thank you Carol and Denise. June, I was going to use a template, but I noticed that the graphite on the transfer paper was making my fondant dirty, so I just went ahead and free handed it, and used clear alcohol to clean the graphite off the fondant. Thank God it did.
