Thanks Jeri. You are so helpful. I am a newbie to cake decorating. I am currrently taking a couple of classes by wilton. It is little overwhelming sometimes since everybody in the class is either in the business or at least been doing this for a while unlike me. So every tip& ideas here and there really counts. Thanks so much! really appreciate it! .Best Wishes.
This is the cutter and mold that I use for the hydrenga blossoms http://www.globalsugarart.com/product.php?id=19020&name=Hydrang...(SV-020)%20by%20Sunflower%20Sugar%20Art
There are several different ones you can use but this is the one I used on these. It is very simple... you roll out the sugarpaste, cut it out with the cutter and put the piece on the mold and press the mold together. I make forms out of foil that I make with the mold so the flowers dry in the shape they should be. I keep my foil molds because I use this set a lot. They don't take too long to do. I made 200 of them in one evening for a wedding a few weeks ago.
